K Martial Arts Centre

Master Byeonggeun Park began his martial arts training in Korea in 1988, and began teaching in 1999, gaining extensive experience in the Taekwondo Competition Team of his province, and through his training in the Korean military. He strongly believes in the positive changes that martial arts can bring, and has always dreamt of teaching them to people in other countries.

Master Park pursued this dream by coming to Canada in 2005 to learn English. He later found a job in Richmond as an instructor. For the four years Master Park worked there, he taught martial arts to students from a variety of ages and backgrounds, and to students with special needs; he also taught martial arts at the Richmond Centre for Disability. He resigned from his work in 2012, and opened K Martial Arts Centre soon afterwards.

The K in K Martial Arts stands for Korea and her martial arts: Taekwondo, Hapkido, Special Needs Martial Arts, and Military Martial Arts. It was opened by Master Park to provide practical martial arts skills and promote life skills to those who wish to learn them.
